In Memory of

Lieutenant Guy David Beven, RAN

The SAA is saddened to advise of the passing of
Lieutenant Guy David Beven, RAN
last week.

Guy began his military career in the Australian Army before enlisting in the Royal Australian Navy in the mid-1980s. He commenced Electronic Warfare training at HMAS Watson in April 1986 and subsequently served at sea aboard HMAS Stuart and HMAS Hobart as a Radio Operator Electronic Warfare (ROEW). He undertook submarine training in February 1988.

Guy qualified at sea on Oberon-class submarines before joining HMAS Collins in December 1993. He discharged from the Navy in 1995 to pursue degree studies, later returning to service where he was commissioned as a Naval Officer. He continued to serve with dedication up until the time of his passing.

A funeral service for Guy will be held at 1100 on 3 December at The Coast Chapel, 50 Pine Avenue, Little Bay, NSW.
